An ideal person with futurists is almost mechanical, with replaceable parts. This is why the occasional genre paintings in this style portray faceless people consumed by motion. Cars, trains, motorcycles, turbines and crowds of impersonal characters – here is the collective gist of futurist genre paintings. Secondly, futurists resorted to the selected artistic devices that enabled them to convey motion and dynamics. The straight and spiraling lines seem to be intersecting in a chaotic way, yet if taken in together with the carefully selected colour contrasts they demonstrate the direction and speed of movement, and the acute angles ram into each other creating noise.
