You prefer futurist abstract paintings that can be easily differentiated from other abstract canvases, like color field paintings, suprematism, abstractionism, abstract expressionism etc. In abstract painting in general there is no definite object represented, the realistic depiction is no longer of any value.

It is absolutely useless to interpret these paintings from the traditional perspective. Instead of the subject and the narrative, the artistic devices come into the foreground – the colour, the lines, the composition as it is. An artist is playing with colours and lines to narrate a story without one, to convey an idea that is to be discovered, not just seen. Artists who represent color field painting strive to evoke overwhelming emotions close to religious revelation. The abstractionists endeavored to reveal any topic solely through colours and forms. For the futurists the idee fixe was conveying movement and sound. Explosions, whistles, noises, wailing, dynamics are all present in portraits, landscapes and genre scenes. In abstract paintings, however, they are depicted per se. How could you represent sound and movement without picturing something that sounds and moves? Well, take a closer look at the forms, the lines and colours in the paintings. The straight and spiraling lines seem to be intersecting in a chaotic way, yet if taken in together with the carefully selected colour contrasts they demonstrate the direction and speed of movement, and the acute angles ram into each other creating the noise. A futuristic composition is nothing like the musical composition of abstractionism. It’s the brake squeak, the wobbling, the sirens – all sounds of the urban future.
